Engineering & Design
A complete system design and application service is available from our specialist technical team, who are always available to help and advise on any project.

Construction
Classic Form 4 fully compartmentalised low voltage switchboards are of standardised modular construction giving a great degree of flexibility and good technical performance coupled with cost effectiveness.

The basic design includes corner sections providing facilities for 'L' or 'U' shaped assemblies.

Comprehensive Specification
Classic switchboards are designed so that combinations of fuse-switches, MCCBs, ACBs, power factor correction equipment, CTs, anti-condensation heaters and other ancillary equipment can be arranged in vertical stacks, complete with busbars, risers and interconnections, all enclosed with separation to Form 4 Type 6 or 7.

Form 4 Separation
Separation of the busbar system from functional units and separation of all functional units from each other is a feature of the Classic Form 4 switchboard. Incoming and outgoing terminals are also separated from the busbars and from each other.

Rear Access
Totally suited to heavy current applications and providing unobstructed access at the rear for cabling.

Standard Rear Access Switchboard Dimensions
Depth - 1200 to 1800mm to meet system requirements.
Height - 2300mm plus ventilation cowls.

Dimensions of switchboards can be accommodated to meet customer specifications.

Short Circuit Performance
Vertical/Horizontal busbars are KEMA certified for short circuit performance:
100kA for 1 second (220kA peak)

Cabling
The rear access design has full cable segregation suitable for top and bottom cable and busduct entry, with removable cable entry plates being provided where appropriate.

Earthing Facilities
Combinations of the following earthing facilities are available:-
a) Full width earth bar
b) Gland rail/gland plate bonding
c) Supplementary internal bonding
d) Star point earth/neutral link

Locking Devices
Locking options include Castell/Fortress door, shaft and handle locking.

Switchboard Colours
BS 381C-631 is the standard colour for switchboards. However a wide choice of colours are available, all other BS and RAL colours available on request.
